Team Bomba.

Studio Bomba was established by Angela Mitchell and Leah Dent in January 2006.

Pre-Bomba, Mitchell and Dent found that whenever they caught up for coffee (white with one) they were increasingly sharing the same niggling, nagging thoughts that for them design could be done differently. In their experience some design studios were more about decoration and less about ideas. That some ad agencies were happy to sacrifice the truth and trust in favour of gloss and spin. That some marketing groups were more about pigeon-holing and pestering and less about highlighting and sharing stories.

And so Bomba was born by two like-minded lasses. One with a background in fashion, the other a former conductor and music teacher, both with a love of new ideas and design and people and a desire to do it their way.

Ask me about new thinking for brands, design and vintage Viewmasters.

Leah has a busy brain. Much like a five year old, she constantly asks “but, why?” until satisfied with the answers. Maddening as that might be, it means she is able to find out how people do things, why they do them, why it matters. Being insatiably inquisitive means she won't stop until things are better. And if that means she has to read more books, collect more things, talk and travel and trawl the web, so be it.

Ask me about new thinking for brands, design and lemon meringue pie.

Angela is a perfectionist. Not one of those annoying nit-picking ninnies but a curious and meticulous designer who cannot rest until her work, and that of her studio’s, is as good as it is possible to be. She likes to find new ways to do better, to see things differently, to inspire and to service. Angela's demeanor might be gentle and composed, but she's a bold designer and will encourage clients to take creative risks. But only if it doesn’t involve Comic Sans.

Felicity Glencross

Felicity Glencross

Administrator
Ask me about organising designers, accounts and life in the West End.

Fastidious Felicity is detail-orientated and attentive to all the administrative needs of the Bomba family (clients and designers alike). A former FM radio announcer and PA to the GM of a London theatre, Felicity’s skills in communications and public relations are as much valued by Bomba as her organisational skills. Plus, she has great tales to tell about famous folk.

Michelle Leslie

Designer
Ask me about designing for brands, the web and cult cartoons.

A girl with a great love of design in motion, Michelle is Bomba’s resident animation and web-nerd. She knows her Actionscript from her Javascript. She can tween. She can code. She can tell you what Ajax is (and no, we're not talking cleaning products). What more could we ask for? Well, she can also illustrate and design for print. Sickening, isn’t it?
