Design darlings, oh my

8 July 2010

We hear tell that Studio Bomba's founding designers Angela Mitchell and Leah Dent have style. At least that is what the West Australian newspaper's West Weekend magazine says.

In their recent Style Edition, the West Weekend asked, "What is style and how do you get? Meet five West Australians who have that magic ingredient." Journalist Amanda Keenan discovered Bomba's designers via their sister company Mitchell & Dent, ladies of letterpress and purveyors of paper ephemera of note. They were featured alongside PR and events guru Melissa Lekias, chef and restauranteur Iain Lawless and personal stylist Zofia St James on Saturday 19th June.

Featured on the cover and interviewed for a two page spread inside the magazine, Mitchell and Dent were also treated to right royal 'glam-ming'. Dressed by the very clever stylist Jess Ruiz in gorgeous vintage clothing, hair tousled and eyelashes primped by hair and make-up artist Rebekah Clark, expertly photographed by Rob Duncan and designed to look good on the page by Vickie Papadopolous; we couldn't have been in better hands.

Of Studio Bomba, Keenan wrote "...they don their Studio Bomba hats to help other businesses – new and established – create their own special identity. Whether it's helping a Perth mum achieve her dream of opening a unique toy shop (Ball and Skittle) or dreaming up the award-winning canisters for WA's Rewind coffee company, they are stamping their style all over this town."
